Steel and Engineering Industries Federation of Southern Africa (Seifsa) has appointed Tafadzwa Chibanguza CEO designate, effective July 1.

Having held the COO position at the organisation since March 2022, Chibanguza will take over as CEO of Seifsa on January 1, 2026.

He will succeed Lucio Trentini who has announced his intention to retire in 2027. Trentini will guide and support Chibanguza in the meantime to ensure a seamless transition of leadership.

Seifsa president Elias Monage is confident that Chibanguza will take Seifsa forward in the next phase of its growth journey, particularly as the metals and engineering industry continues to face challenges and needs a long-term inclusive strategy.
